A truly unforgettable experience
Exploring the area.....
Whether it's fishing on the Kyle, mountain biking in Balblair woods, Paddleboarding on Loch Migdale, a picnic and a walk beside the river or you're planning to 'bag' a Munro, you will not be disappointed. There are spectacular walks through ancient Caledonian Pines surrounded with acres of Rhododendrons, close to the infamous Croick Church which featured prominently in the clearance of Glencalvie in 1845.
Loch Fleet National Nature Reserve is a 30 minute drive away. Walk along the dunes, watch Osprey dive for fish or spot the rare pinewood plants.
Bonar Bridge is proud to be able to offer its very own 9 hole Golf Course, opened in 1904. Set in spectacular scenery with views over the Loch and surrounded by Scots pine, its been described by many as a 'Mini Glenagles'. For avid golfers, the prestigious and world renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Course is only a 20 minute drive.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by distilleries, with each offering 'tasters' of their finest malts, you will be truly spoilt for choice. Glenmorangie, Balblair, Dalmore and Clynelish can all be reached within a 30 minute drive.
Whilst passing Golspie, don't miss the opportunity to visit 'Dunrobin Castle'. The most northerly of Scotland's great houses with 189 rooms and home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland since the 1300's. The falconry display is not to be missed along with a stroll the the castle's exquisite gardens, bordering the sea.
For those wishing to explore further afield, take advantage of a day trip to Orkney, go west to Handa Island home to 100000 seabirds and dramatic cliff views.
